1994
Salisbury Music started selling Baldwin Pianos, holding our 1st Civic Center Piano Sale in June.
2003
Salisbury Music stopped selling Baldwin Pianos
2007
Salisbury Music stopped giving music lessons and downsized, focusing mostly on the School Band side of the business, which includes: repairs, band & orchestra rentals, method books and accessories, in addition to continuing to move and rent pianos and sell Piano Teaching Materials.
2014
After 31 years of having a store front on Eastern Shore Dr., Salisbury Music & Instrument Repair closed it’s retail location. We determined that keeping a retail location open no longer made financial sense. Joel moved the repair shop into his home in Delmar, MD, and continues to offer band & orchestra instrument repairs, instrument rentals, sales of accessories and music for school programs and piano tuning, moving & rentals. The decision was also made to change the name of the business to Joel Smith Music.
2017
Joel Smith Music moved from Delmar to Parsonsburg, MD.
